Appointments

You may consult a doctor of your choice by appointment.  Appointments can be made either by telephoning the surgery on 01923 202600 or calling in person.  You can also book an appointment online.  Please ask the receptionist to register you and you will be given a username and password. 

Some appointments with the doctors can be booked up to four weeks in advance.  Other appointments become available at 8 am on the same day.

Nursing appointments can all be booked in advance.

Urgent appointments can be made on the day, although you may not be able to see the doctor of your choice.  Urgent cases are booked for the end of morning and evening surgeries.  To make an urgent appointment, call our usual number 01923 202600.

In an emergency where you think a life may be at risk, e.g. severe chest pain or difficulty in breathing, please call 999 to access the ambulance service.

Home Visits

If possible please try to telephone reception before 10:00 if you require a home visit.

A doctor or nurse may phone you back as it may be that your problem can be dealt with by telephone advice, or that it would be more appropriate to send a nurse, or indeed arrange a hospital attendance.

House visits are only available for patients who are housebound because of illness or disability.

Please remember that several patients can be seen in the practice in the time that it takes to make one home visit. There are also better facilities for examining and treating patients at the surgery.

GP Training

We are a GP training practice and we usually have specialist trainees attached to our team.  These are qualified doctors who are doing further training in General practice under supervision.  From time to time we may have medical students, paramedics, midwives, nurses and other members of the medical profession in training attached to the practice.  You will be asked beforehand if you would prefer to see the doctor alone and your wish will be respected.

Sometimes we make audio and/or video recordings of consultations for training purposes.  Again, you will be informed beforehand if the video is being used and you will never be filmed without your written consent.

Car Parking

Please use the car park at the rear of the Premier Travel Inn. There is a pedestrian shortcut from this parking area to Bridgewater House.  To access the car park, turn left at the roundabout at the bottom of Whippendell Road into Ascot Road, left again in to the hotel entrance and drive through the “arch” to the rear car park.

All “Pay & Display” parking in the vicinity is free for the first hour, with payments required for longer parking periods (£2 for 2 hours and £10 for all day).  There are two disabled parking spaces in front of the surgery and pharmacy, and one at the rear of the surgery.

Parking is available in the bays out the front of the surgery.

North Approach - Coach House's Branch Site
This is a residential street with no dedicated parking spaces, so please be considerate when parking
