Extended Hours

We are currently taking part in the extended hours option, which means that we are also open one evening each week until 20.30 and Saturday mornings from 08:00 - 10:30.   Please contact reception for further information.

North Approach Surgery Opening Times

The branch surgery is manned by different GPs on rotation, and is used for general GP appointments and a limited range of nursing procedures. 

When We Are Closed

On weekdays between the hours of 6.30 pm and 8.0am, and all day and night on weekends and bank holidays, services are commissioned by the West Hertfordshire PCT and provided by NHS 111.There are no local Walk-In Centres at present.

If you think you need medical treatment out of normal hours, you have a choice:

• If you have a life threatening medical emergency please dial 999
• If you require urgent medical assistance which cannot wait until the surgery re-opens please call NHS 111.
• If you are telephoning from outside NHS Hertfordshire or where the NHS 111 service is unavailable please call 03000 333 333.
• Other sources of medical help or advice: NHS Direct Online at http://www.nhsdirect.nhs.uk

Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
